Scintrex Limited of Concord, Ontario, Canada, is a developer and manufacturer of scientific instruments for earth science and environmental markets. Our instruments allow for precise measurements of geophysical data for exploration and monitoring in petroleum, mineral, ground water and academic applications . In addition, Scintrex provides airborne and ground based geophysical exploration services for the mining and petroleum industries. The origins of Scintrex Limited date back to the year 1946 when the company, then known as Sharpe Instruments Ltd., first manufactured a number of fine mechanical and opto-mechanical measuring devices. By the mid-1950's, the product line had expanded to include electronic and electromechanical devices, primarily for use in mineral exploration as well as a quartz-element gravimeter.
