Nilex Inc.

Nilex was established in 1977 by Walter van Woudenberg in Edmonton, Alberta. These were considered the early days of the geosynthetics industry in North America and Nilex is recognized as one of the pioneers. In fact, many of the materials we provide our customers today either did not exist or were not yet manufactured in North America and had to be imported from Europe.

Since then, Nilex has expanded throughout Canada with additional locations in Burnaby, Abbotsford, Vernon, Calgary, Saskatoon, Toronto, and into the US with an office in Denver, Colorado. Nilex consists of three companies – Nilex Inc. (Canada), Nilex Construction (Canada), and Nilex Environmental Inc. (USA). Our products and services fall into five key application areas: Roads, MSE Walls and Slopes, Erosion and Sediment Control, Drainage, and Containment.
